RAF HUMANITARIAN ENGINEERING (VIRTUAL)

Discover where engineering can take you, from the comfort of your own home, on this RAF virtual engineering supported course based on true to life humanitarian type missions undertaken by RAF personnel.

Working with the RAF, our expert team of Education Officers have developed a series of humanitarian engineering challenges hosted on a virtual learning platform; RAF personnel are also on-hand to offer support and guidance. Practically explore how engineering can have a positive impact on the world with all the resources provided for you. This course is for Year 9 in England and Wales, S3 in Scotland and Year 10 in Northern Ireland.

(The application closing date will be 22/01/22 after which student data will be passed to the RAF for the selection process. Successful applicants will be notified week commencing 31/01/22 – due to the volume of applications we will not be able to provide feedback to unsuccessful applicants).

What:
Humanitarian engineering uses STEM to promote the wellbeing of communities facing big humanitarian challenges, and demonstrates how engineering is a force for good.

Experience what it takes to be an engineer by designing and creating prototypes for a series of challenges set by our Education Officers and the RAF.

Meet new people and work through challenges in the comfort of your own home. All kit required for the course will be mailed out in advance.
Put your lateral thinking to the test by finding solutions to problems currently faced by real-life engineers.
