As we gear up for the new academic year starting in September, I am thrilled to share some fantastic news after working with Liam Hoban on an exciting new partnership with Falmouth Marine School for the last year that will provide incredible opportunities for fourteen of our students as they embark on their GCSE journey in September.
This collaboration promises fantastic opportunities for our budding engineers to gain real-world experience and insights into the renewable energy sector. The students will now have the incredible opportunity to learn and grow in the state-of-the-art facilities at Falmouth Marine School, broadening their horizons and paving the way for future successes.
What a huge milestone for the future of engineering at Helston Community College! Yesterday evening marked a historic moment as we proudly welcomed the first cohort of Pre-16 Engineering students at Falmouth Marine School. This groundbreaking partnership signifies a new era for our students as they immerse themselves in the world of engineering.
With a focus on nurturing home-grown talent and developing key skills for the future, is a significant step towards empowering our students to become the next generation of innovative engineers. By fostering new partnerships like this one, we are paving the way for our students to thrive and succeed in a rapidly evolving world.
A massive thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating and supporting this fantastic achievement - including Celtic Sea Power, Pendennis Shipyard Ltd, Mylor Yacht Harbour, Isles of Scilly Travel, Simply Blue Group, Falmouth Harbour, Morwind, Blue Abyss, Careers Hub, and many more. Your contribution is invaluable and greatly appreciated. Like them I am sure you will join us on wishing the students the best of luck: Maya Brockwell, Seth Coleman, Olly Court, Archie Davison, Lewis Galloway, Toby Gilbert, Ben Hall, Dylan Hughes-Purves, Piran Ivey, Oscar Page, Lola Shaw, Harvey Taylor, Stanley Farrant and Eddie Legg.
Together, we are shaping the future of engineering education and opening doors to endless possibilities for our students. Let's continue to inspire and empower the engineers of tomorrow!
