Dear Parent/Carer
We wish to inform you that this morning there has been a swarm of bees in the vicinity of Church Hill, adjacent to the college. A small number of students and members of the public were stung. These students received first aid and we have contacted their parents/carers.
We have been advised that the swarm is now returning to its hive and that there is no significant risk to the public moving forward. However, we have deemed it sensible to close our Link Path (between North and South Site) for the rest of the day. We also advise that students avoid the section of Church Hill between the North Site Campus and Station Road for the remainder of the day.
