The College was delighted to hear that one of our Year 10 students, Maia, won the flute recital class at the recent Cornwall Music Festival. She competed in two rounds against students from across the county and her performance of the 1st and 2nd movements of Vivaldi's flute concerto were so good that she was proclaimed the overall winner.
Following this success, she was invited to play the Concerto again at the Gala concert on Saturday night, where she was granted the honour of closing the show.
We would like to congratulate Maia for achievement, which reflects the hours of practice she completes and her dedication to music.
