Students take part in furture chef competition

14th January 2018

On Wednesday this week, Mrs Day had the pleasure of attending Penwith College along with two of our students for the national future chef cooking competition.

Representing the College were Year 10 students Amber Brierley and Sam Belert. They both worked professionally throughout the competition against other students from Penzance.

We were delighted to hear that Sam was named the overall winner and now goes onto the Cornish finals of the competition at Rick Steins cookery school in Padstow in two weeks time. He also has the opportunity to work with a tutor and chef, Dave Power, who used to work for Gordon Ramsey, hopefully, Dave will be able to mentor him in preparation for the next round.

We would like to congratulate both Sam and Amber for their achievements.
